ELIJAH4 SPENCER (JOHN3, JOHN2, JOHN of ALBEMARLE1) was born January 10, 1798 in North Carolina, and died January 11, 1880 in Pleasant Hill, De Soto Co., Mississippi.  He married (1) ELIZABETH N. ALEXANDER Abt. 1818 in Gibson Co., Tennessee, daughter of JOSIAH MARTIN ALEXANDER and NANCY AGNES  PATTERSON.  She was born Abt. 1801 in North Carolina or Tennessee, and died Abt. 1895.  He married (2) HANNAH JACKSON February 27, 1836 in Gibson Co., Tennessee.    He married (3) CAROLINE JONES October 20, 1857 in De Soto Co., Mississippi.    He married (4) CATHERINE D. SEAMORE July 30, 1868 in De Soto Co., Mississippi.  She was born October 04, 1836, and died July 08, 1882.

Notes for ELIJAH SPENCER:

All of his marriages were terminated by the death of his spouse except his last wife, Catherine Semora-Spencer. They were divorced in 1879. Elijah died at his residence, two miles south of the town of Pleasant Hill, in De Soto County, Mississippi from Dropsy. His obituary appeared in the Pleasant Hill News and The De Soto Times on 22 January 1880.
